We recommend removing your jewellery before showering, swimming, exercising or sleeping. After wearing, gently wipe your piece with a clean, soft, dry cloth before returning it to its Maison Maya pouch or jewellery box.

Avoid abrasive polishing cloths or chemical jewellery cleaners on gold vermeil, as these may gradually wear away the gold layer.

Gold vermeil is designed to offer the beauty of gold with a precious sterling silver base. As with all plated jewellery, the gold layer may gradually change or wear over time depending on frequency of wear, skin chemistry, environmental exposure and how the piece is cared for.

Proper storage and avoiding unnecessary exposure to moisture, chemicals and friction will help preserve the finish for as long as possible.

Sterling silver naturally oxidizes when exposed to air, moisture and certain chemicals. This is a natural characteristic of the metal rather than a defect.

Store sterling silver pieces individually in a cool, dry place when they are not being worn. A soft polishing cloth suitable for sterling silver can be used gently to restore its shine.

For pieces that combine sterling silver with gemstones, moissanite or specialty finishes, we recommend following the care instructions specific to that piece.

Gemstones should be treated with care. Avoid exposing your jewellery to harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, extreme temperatures or unnecessary impact.

When cleaning jewellery containing moissanite or natural gemstones, use a soft, lint-free cloth. Because different natural gemstones have different levels of hardness, porosity and sensitivity, not every stone should be cleaned in the same way.

When in doubt, contact Maison Maya before using a jewellery cleaning solution or ultrasonic cleaner on your piece.

No two natural gemstones are exactly alike. Variations in colour, tone, pattern, inclusions and other characteristics are part of their natural beauty and are not considered defects.

These subtle differences mean that your Maison Maya piece may possess characteristics entirely unique to you.

Electroforming is a jewellery-making technique that allows metal to be formed around a design or structure, creating dimensional pieces while allowing them to remain wearable.

Due to the nature of this process, certain electroformed designs may contain small openings or holes required during production. These openings are intentional and are not manufacturing defects.

They should not be filled, altered or obstructed, as doing so may compromise the integrity of the piece.

If your jewellery requires repair, please contact us with your order number, photographs of the piece and a brief description of the issue. We will assess the piece and advise whether a repair is possible.

Repairs resulting from a manufacturing issue may be covered where applicable under our warranty. Damage resulting from normal wear, accidental damage, improper care or modifications by a third party may be subject to a repair fee.

Availability of repairs will depend on the nature of the damage, materials and components required.

Jewellery that has been repaired, resized or altered by a third party may no longer be eligible for Maison Maya warranty coverage.

Some Maison Maya designs are produced in limited quantities. If a piece is unavailable, it may be restocked, offered for pre-order or return in a future release.

Where available, we encourage you to join the restock notification list for the piece you love.
